New temperature gauge

I received my new Spicewine gauge today and plan to install it soon. I've got to drill a larger hole first. Does anyone know how to adjust it, assuning it even needs adjusting. There's a screw on the back which makes me think that is how to calibrate it. Any info?

Not sure, just remember you are working with a spring. Small adjustments and when you find the direction go slightly "loaded"and then back off so reading is in a rested state. Hope that make sense. Idea is if you are cranking up and it is loaded it will be different when it loads itself.

So that screw on the back is for minor adjustments then?

I may need to buy one of these for the new reverse flow. Does anyone know the thread size so I can weld in the correct bung?

It is for adjustments. I'm just saying it won't be like winding a clock. Slight Movements is all it takes.

The ones I got for my BUDS were on also. Had one that was defective on my Spicewine and Jay replaced it without hesitation. Anyone buying sa thermometer should get a Spicewine.
