Weber 26.5" Grill Charcoal Grate Diameter?
Can anyone tell me what the diameter of the charcoal grate on the Weber 26.5" grill is?

Twenty six and one half inches

I'm looking for the charcoal grate diameter... not the grill grate diameter...

I looked around on the net, but can't get an actual diameter. Give Weber a call, I'll bet they tell you in nothing flat. Looking at the pictures, I'd be inclined to agree with Bludawg.

It depends on whether you have the older or newer grill. The older one is smaller and no longer available from Weber. The new one is 21 3/4" and the older one is about 19 1/2.

Big enough to use in a 110 gallon drum for a super uds.

Looks like you got your answer, but I can go measure if you want. Had mine for about 3 weeks and love it - lots of real estate! Been thinking of making some accessories and always looking for good ideas, what do you have in mind?
PS: the charcoal grate has a neat support structure kind of like an upsidedown suspension bridge running through the center to keep it from warping under heat. Really neat idea. |
I'm trying to figure out why a 26.5" grill would have a grate that is 6.5" smaller than the grill? I'm missing something here.
