Christmas on the River, Demopolis AL 12/2/10-12/3/10
Has anybody ever been to this contest? Can you tell me about it? I can't seem to find any info online. I emailed the organizer for more info but thought in the meantime I'd ask you guys,

They start taking the standby list at the first of the year. We put our name in then and found out late last week we were in.

We've been on the stand-by list as well and just found out last night that Big Creek BBQ is in when Jack called to let us know! Never cooked any farther south than Arkansas and Oklahoma so this will be a new experience for us!

Bring jackets. It's December and it is close to the water :)

Last year we emailed him. He responded and said they were full up with 60 teams and others on a waiting list. Results came back and he only had 28 teams. I don't like being lied to...

He counts backyard teams as well.

Going into our second weekend in a row being "off" and I'm feeling some withdrawal sickness creeping in! Only 2 1/2 weeks to go!
