Pepper Stout Beef

Wanted to do something a bit different today so I'm giving pepper stout beef my first go. The meat is now on the smoker and I'll be checking in later with results. Here are some initial pics.

Looks like a good start. Don't forget to take pics of the rest of the cook and the final product!

Will someone link me. This sounds interesting, the name, it looks like my brisket though. Not that I "invented it," I mean the amount of pepper on it looks like my type of thing.

I am curious

By the way... I see a sort of stainless thing inserted into the brisket... and a lead to it.... I can assume it is a device that injects the brisket with some kind of injection while it cook as there is no other reason for it to be in there. wink.
