1963 Weber "Plainsman" with Pr0n!

Traded for this 1963 Weber. It is called the "Plainsman". A very nice two toned gray color and in nice condition. Still cleaning up the wheels:-D

Interesting. That thing is as old as I am (maybe older) and it looks great. Can't say the same for myself...

That is very cool.

Very cool, sure has not changed much.

Fwismoker 04-11-2014 11:48 AM

I'd be tempted to sand blast and ceramic coat it.

Wow - never been used? We got one for our wedding and used it for 40 years before getting rid of it. Still not sure why I let it go...

That's a nice trophy. I think someone needs to set up a grill museum somewhere. :-D

The classic shape of this Weber reminds me of a story... when I was a kid, back in the 70's, our neighbor flew home from Europe with a Weber executive. That year happened to be the 25th anniversary of the Weber grill.

Later that summer the most unusual thing showed up at the neighbors house, a gold plated anniversary Weber grill, gold plated!

Well, kids being kids, we got board that summer, threw rocks at it and chipped off as much of the gold plating as we could.

I wonder if any of the gold plated Webers still exist?

Your Weber and I both turn 51 this year. I'm not sure I have as many miles left in me as your kettle does though.

Don't change a thing on that beauty...other than fixing the wheels. Very nice!
