Judge question

I was wondering if there is a set way to judge a contest. Keansburg Fire Co #1, Keansburg NJ is holding a contest on May 17 2008 and we need a formukla for judging. Any help would be appreciated. We are also looking for some local people to help judge. Thanks Bill

The "weighting formulas" used by KCBS and FBA are too complicated for this type of event, IMHO.

I would use something like is used on FOOD TV for Iron Chef and similar.
Up to 5 points for appearance.
Up to 10 points for texture.
Up to 10 points for taste.

Plug in your own "categories" and "numbers" to get the results you want.

Simple system and user friendly that way. "KISS". :lol:

thanks, that is what we were thinking KISS. This contest is in it's first year we are not making calculations to go to Saturn. Thanks again
