You guys didn't save me....

http://houston.craigslist.org/for/3650296954.html

I posted this a couple of days ago in the "sales and ventures" forum hoping that one of you would go and buy it. Alas, no one did, so I'm on my way to pick it up now and feed my Weber addiction. Thanks...

IamMadMan 03-02-2013 07:17 AM

Congratulations on the new addition.

John Bowen 03-02-2013 07:19 AM

I don’t think you are addicted – I am sure you have quit many times!

Harbormaster 03-02-2013 07:41 AM

The fact that you admit to an addiction is proof that you don't have an addiction.

Or something like that.

Nice score on a a classic early 70s redhead!

There's another one for sale on the site for 40.00
You could have a set of twin redheads if you get it also.

Picked it up, no date code, so its pre-'79. Some damage to the paint/coating on one side if the bowl. The guy's kids had a bonfire in it years ago. The rest of it is in good shape, I'll post some pics later when I get it home.

It's Gore's fault

Homebrewed Q 03-02-2013 09:15 AM

Ok, so some preliminary research, says "pat pending" and "Arlington Heights, Ill" on the lid vent, has 3 daisy wheel vents on the bottom of the bowl, hard rubber tires/plastic rims, wooden handle, and the wire web triangle rack. I'm guessing '68-'70? What do you guys think?

Homebrewed Q 03-02-2013 12:54 PM

Pics to come soon, so maybe you guys can help me determine age/value.

Bluesman 03-02-2013 12:59 PM

Age is simple, its old, as for value, you got taken so send it to me and I will pay you have of what you paid and then you are only half taken and can rejoice in the fact that that you helped out another person...............ME!

Harbormaster 03-02-2013 02:19 PM

Small adjustment tab on the top vent.

I'm pretty confident in saying it's pre 74 for sure.

caseydog 03-02-2013 02:23 PM

Nice catch. I didn't see your post before, or I might have bought it. My dad lives about ten minutes away from the seller.

Oh well, It is probably better that I didn't see it.
