i lost my last living grandmother (lost the great grands a long time ago) within the past couple weeks, so the holidays were a bit more challenging than usual, but i think they'd be proud i carried on the new years day meal tradition of greens, black eyed peas & cabbage.... also applewood smoked a ham and i'm also doing a couple pork tenderloins in a bit.....

Definitely made your grandparents proud carrying on the tradition in such a fine manner.

My wife is from South Carolina, those Balck Eyed Peas and Collard Greens are so familiar. Great job for the new year!

Life evolves, keep the memories alive.

Nicely done. Condolences on your loss, but rest assured they are looking down on you with a smile knowing that you are carrying not only the tradition, but that you care enough to do so.
God speed in the years ahead 'brah.

You are blessed my friend to have their memories. Food looks great I am from Tuscaloosa Alabama and we roll just like that here also. I sure hope we roll next week against LSU they have a great team it is going to be tough
