It's Wangs Farkers

I am throwing out an SOS. Really needing a killer wing recipe.

Two caveats:
1. A BBQ recipe
2. Needs to be complimented by Blues Hog Original

Feel free to PM me or post here.

Thanks guys.

Just fold the whole wing into a triangle shape and dry rub! Smoke @ 275 to 300 till crispy...

Blues hog on the side!

Just do the wings at 300* or above and use patio daddios finger stickin chicken sauce. Save the blues hog for ribs and thank me later.

i'd really have to agree with fingerlickin. OR even simpler recipe, PD's classic drumstick sauce. both are so easy and so good on waaaangs.

BUT, if you're going BH no matter what, hit the wings with something that has good peppery kick.

I tend to agree with Phingerlickin' as well.

I should have explained better. I am using a sauce that has ~20% blues hog in it on another item. I can not stand conflicting flavors. I am serving rounds of hors d'ouvres and they will follow or precede the other item (yet to be named, but may be shrimp or cheese).

I'll try John's sauce and see how it fits.

With Blues Hog, I always think you have sweet and vanilla tones covered, what you need is heat and complexity. I tend to look to paprika, cumin, allspice, cinnamon and chile for flavors.

Something like this:
Equal parts Spanish sweet paprika and powdered Chile de Arbol
1/3 parts cumin granulated garlic and onion and allspice
1/6 part cinnamon

Yeah, I definitely want to stay closer to BBQ and further from hot wings on this. I am going to keep an open mind and make Patio Daddio's recipe and order some Mad Hunky. Right now I am leaning towards Yardbird and 90% Ten Red and 10% BH. Just to "tie" the two together. Test cooks are in my future.

Thanks and keep them coming.
