This weekend in Lake Placid we spoke with Donna from Smokinlicious Gourmet Wood Products this is the information she has passed on to us and more will be coming this Thursday after their inspection.
Per your request, I am attaching the new regulations concerning the
transport of firewood. This will provide you with the information for NY
state.

For the state of Maryland, visit:
www.dnr.state.md.us/dnrnews/infocus/emerald_ash_borer.asp and

For NY visit
http://www.dec.ny.gov/index.html

Right now, Maryland has quarantined Prince George's County (South of I-495
and Rte. 4 is the heaviest infestation area).

I hope you can find a way to pass this information around. I certainly
would not want to see any sactioned event have an issue.

Most our state parks have these and their having to cut it all down and start over!!

Thank you for posting this information I was unaware we had a problem as I am sure many others are as well.

good information!

A Self-Issued Certificate of Source (100 kb pdf) form is required for the transport of untreated firewood for personal use, less than 50-miles from its New York source.
