Plastic Folding Tables

I recently sold the 3 I was using as they were the lifetime model that would not support leg extensions as the cross support between the legs was very low, almost at the bottom in fact.

Will the tables that have somewhat slanted legs work or should I be looking for straight leg tables?

Also, can I just slap 18 inches of PVC on these and it will be stable or do I need to build / attach something else?

I know that this does not directly answer your question, but have you seen these? They have adjustable legs at 24",29" and 36". The 36" makes it nice as you do not need PVC....

Something like this works too, especially if you can't fit PVC on your legs.

That table is nice, but it's only 4' long. I wish i could find one like that but 6' long.

I have changed my setup at comps to have two of these end to end, and then run through almost an assembly line through turn ins.(8ft is nice) That way there is no risk of the box being anywhere close to the prep area.

I guess it really depends on how much space one has? I love these double folders from sams cuz I can fit them in my limited space. (transport and setup)

Wes - I have an older folding table that the legs are slightly angled - say about 10 degrees. I use 18" PVC pipe to extend the height with no problem in stability. Same on my straight leg tables.

Never had an issue.

I've seen some guys get very creative (read - too much time on their hands) and add threaded end caps so they can level the table if they happen to set up on uneven ground.

My comp partner has 4 of these Sam's Club adjustables that he brings to comps...they are nice, but only 2 feet wide...that's the only draw back. I have a 4' Lifetime with the low cross brace that we use for our Coleman hot water on demand unit/wash pans and a 6' walmart folding table with the slanted legs that we also use...which we use 16" PVC pipe for extensions and it works well...

I know you sold the 3 tables you had, but for those that have some similar, you can also cut a 6 inch slot in the PVC riser pipes so that cross beam slides through the slot.

Guess I should have posted here before selling the D$*N things! Sounds like the perfect solution for the ones I got rid of.

One of the fastest things I've ever sold on craigslist I might add, they went faster than my Pitmaker.
