Probe location on a butt

Do you guys have a particular location you put the probe on butt?

I center between the fat cap and the blade bone, keeping the probe centered in the meat away from the bone.

An inch from the bone if there is one present. Also if the probe goes in easy you are probably in a fat pocket.
The probe will be fine if it goes into the muscle meat. It should go in fairly hard.
