Tonights Tri-tip on the Santa Maria pit

I found a tri-tip in my freezer :) that was nicely marbled so gave it a nice coating of The Rub Co's Santa Maria Style and fired up the pit with Live Oak/Coast Oak/Red Oak.... lotsa names for the same thing.


Gave it a quick sear then let it rip.


Pulled about 132 and let it rest for 20 minutes with a foil hat

Yeah. I guess its ok. If your the kinda guy that likes the great house, beautiful grill and the perfect tri-tip. All those cookers in the background. Huh. Not me. Nope.

Holy cow... look at all those smokers and grills on that deck... im jealous :biggrin1:
