Thanks! I picked up the fireplace idea from my uncle years ago. The older house he had bought had the whole cooking set up in the fireplace. It had this cast iron swinging arm that would allow you to hang a DO on it and swing it in and out of the coals. Also had an custom log grate that would allow you to place a CI grilling grate on it. I've seen a few of these set ups online, but sadly, my fireplace is too small to allow me to install one of those setups. So, I make do with what I got.

Looks great Bob! I was worried about you with Hell freezing over and all down there! Looks like you adjusted well! :)

Cool idea! That is one great looking plate of food. This thinking out side the box has inspired me. I'm cooking a Boston Butt in the clothes dryer as I type. It may be a bit loud but it smells delicious!

My little girl turns the BIG 2 on the 21st. We are having her b-day party tomorrow at a local pizza place. Wife was out and about buying things for the party. My folks picked up my son and took him to the mall to do some shopping. So, me and my little Girla, hung out at home. She came down with a bit of cold yesterday, so her and I laid low at the house most of the day. It was a long day of cartoons, peanut butter and jelly sammies, and other treats for her, and I kinda just took my time and cooked. It was a great day!

That looks fantastic!

I'm going to have to get back down to business. Semester is coming to an end and that last pic is calling to me. I bet it curled your nose hairs.

Fireplaces are pretty rare (unless your rich and have a token fireplace) out here. So I think I'll have to weather the weather.

Oh yeah. Had a good draft coming from the garage and had a large fan wedged between the two back doors to act as a back up exhaust as well as ceiling fan on Low for some added air pressure. The lil fireplace was drawing the smoke straight up and out.

You can always get an outdoor firepit! Santa is on his way you know.

Thanks,

Bob
