Akorn PIzza Pizza!

I cooked this up on my CG Kamado Akorn. First time making the dough with yeast, flour, salt, sugar, water. Found great tutorial here. Kneaded it for 15 min in the kitchen aid mixer. Rested it near the cooker to get heat to rise. The Kamado got nice n hot and then put that mother sucker on. It was done in less than 10 min. My new pizza peel worked great with a little cornmeal on it. The topping sausage, onion, sweet peppers I grilled on the Akorn with a little EVOO. I will take more pictures next time.Tasted fantastic! Barley my second attempt at pizza. It should only get better from here on out. :becky:

So the Akorn lives after it fell like Humpty Dumpty!

How did that go hammering it out?

Pizza looks good but was the crust a little under cooked?

That looks great! I'm stealin' those toppings!

Did you use a heat deflector under the pizza stone? Temp 625?

Yeah I hammered her out and all is good. The crust seemed ok to me but who knows im still a rookie. I had a deflector pan and close to 600.
