It was time to walk the plank(w pron)
Ok so I didn't walk the plank but I did make some salmon swim on it until they were cooked just the way I liked
http://s16.postimg.org/bue074m39/DSCF1001.jpg The salmon was rubbed down with a mix of evoo, salt, pepper, lemon juice, lemon zest, lemon pepper, rosemary, and tyme. Then it was cooked on a cedar plank for 20-25 minutes at about 385 degrees. I was in a hurry and and forgot to put the plank on the grill a few minutes early. It still turned out good, but it is much better when the plank is pre-heated http://s2.postimg.org/5rtd9i5zt/DSCF1007.jpg The potatoes got a rub of coriander, ancho chili powder, rosemary, garlic and onion powder and cooked for our about 50 minutes on the grill in the cast iron skillet. The asparagus was just salt and pepper. I like to keep my asparagus nice and simple. So here it is all plated up http://s16.postimg.org/67hn9njkl/DSCF1010.jpg The meal turned out fantastic. My wife loved it and even the little girl couldn't gt enough of the salmon and potatoes |
