late Christmas presents
Two of our secretaries went off to Germany for a couple weeks before Christmas and with my travel I hadn't seen them since Thanksgiving. Last night I made some smoked salmon for them. It must've been some really good salmon at Costco because it was just a notch better than usual. Here's one of the lesser pieces we kept (of course you can see where I did some nibbling ).
http://i770.photobucket.com/albums/x...s/IMG_7032.jpg I got a call this afternoon that it was the best **** salmon she'd ever had. I never heard her so excited before. It's really nice to give things away when people appreciate them. That's all. Nothing really to see here. |
There is one reason and one reason only to cook...........Happy Faces :-D You did good Brother

Actually, I only posted this because the picture looked so purdy.

I'm sorry, did you say something? I was too busy looking at that salmon!

I have the same problem with the bellies. I always think I'll save half, but that never happens. Most times...the belly even starts disappearing (sometimes completely) before it gets in the house!
Now if I can jsut make that happen with my belly.:tsk: |
Looks fantastic!

:hungry: Looks good!

Nice feeling when you get those kinda responses :thumb:

I love hearing someone say that they enjoyed my cooking, so I know what you mean. Its not the praise for what I made, but just realizing that it is easy to make someone happy with something simple that makes it special.
And that pic is pretty impressive! |
I hear ya man. I gave away some of the maple black pepper and the sesame. They loved it, especially the sesame. Thanks again.

Yeah, costco has some great seafood and meat.
