quality "Q" show on netflix

Simply called "barbecue". watching it now as I have been reading and posting. It isn't all true BBQ. Most of the cooking methods are grilling. It is a documentary of folks around the world and how barbecue/grilling effects their lives, brings people together over basic common grounds. Very worth a watch.
Much, much more than just cooking.

Thanks for the heads up!

Great documentary! I believe it actually won a James Beard Award this year.

It is good. Two other recommendations:

Cooked - four part series, one of the parts is 'fire' - aka grilling and BBQ. All four parts are worth watching though, I especially like the 'air' (aka bread) episode too.

Ugly Delicious - seven or eight episodes, one on BBQ. The pizza episode is great too. And a heads up, there's a good bit of swearing so keep that in mind if you've got little ones running around.

Netflix's "Chef's Table" Volume 1, Episode 3 (Frances Mallmann) is also a very interesting "cooking with fire" experience.

Love the "Cooked" series - Excellent stuff here with good things to learn/try.

Chef's Table is fun...but also hard to take too seriously. One of the first episodes where the chef is big on farm to table, he's waxing poetically about changing the world with better practices and whatnot, and we pulled up his place and looked at the menu and it was like ~$400 a head for dinner.

Not at all about BBQ, but The Great British Baking Show is really good too. It's not like most competition shows (which I hate).
