Sorry to hear about this. People who steal from people doing the Lord's work will be punished. I've seen it happen. Will keep my SoCal eyes open.

nucornhusker 04-29-2013 08:33 AM

I will keep and eye out here also.

Really sad.

BBQ Bandit 04-29-2013 08:57 AM

That's just completely underhanded and immoral...

DubfromGA 04-29-2013 09:01 AM

Sad times.

I hope they are recovered and the thievery punished.

TBASS 04-29-2013 09:43 AM

Sorry to hear about that. I hope he is able to recover the smokers. I KNOW the LORD will make certain the people responsible will be held accountable.

Nutz4bbq 04-29-2013 09:46 AM

Someday the thieves will have to answer for that!!

Any ID numbers or identifying marks??

flyingbassman5 04-29-2013 09:53 AM

Got the STL MO eyes open. Maybe he can report the VIN numbers and the DMV can identify it when the idiots try to re license it. The beauty of stealing a licensed trailer rig is that its like stealing a licensed vehicle. Hopefully they get pulled over hauling it and the cop notices something is up when the names don't match on the trailer and tow vehicle

eldog73 04-29-2013 09:54 AM

another pic of cooker(s)

http://i476.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps3afbeb2a.jpg

i will check for identifying marks

Ron_L 04-29-2013 09:57 AM

OK... Shared via Facebook. For anyone who is on a friend on FB, just click the word Facebook and add me and you can share the post, too. The more eyes watching the better chance of recovery!

K-JUN 04-29-2013 10:08 AM

I just sent out a tweet to operation BBQ Relief. Hopefully they will retweet to get the word out.

dwfisk 04-29-2013 10:12 AM

We will be watching in north Florida & south Georgia. Hope the pits can be recovered & the scum punished!

fat heads bbq 04-29-2013 10:20 AM

fat heads bbq 04-29-2013 10:25 AM

Sadly that is a good idea. Some places don't ask any questions on scrap.

Youngin' 04-29-2013 12:40 PM

When stuff like this happens in Miami, the first place we look for is Flea Markets. More times than not it's the Flea Market in the not-so-nice part of town where it pops up.

Best of luck and God bless.

Garrett 04-29-2013 03:44 PM

Watching Charlotte and Gastonia area CL. Hopefully if they try to sell them one of us will see it and can help retrieve. More importantly catch the folks who stole them.

DownHomeQue 04-29-2013 03:50 PM

Eyes open in Northeast Arkansas Area too!

westy 04-29-2013 03:54 PM

Eyes wide open.

Smoking Terrapin 04-29-2013 04:29 PM

That is just disgusting. As someone who does church missions fund raisers with pulled pork, I can't see anything lower than stealing from someone who is using bbq to bless. Hope the thief grows a conscience and returns it on their own, but I'll be looking too.

papadew 04-29-2013 06:27 PM

I live in Durham, make sure to check all scrap yards.Durham crack heads are stealing anything metal to scrap. They got 4 A/C units at our church.

ButtBurner 04-29-2013 06:32 PM

yeah, I would imagine someone will try to scrap them.

around these parts, when you take something to the scrap yard, they take your pic, your driver's lic and also fingerprint you

that still does not stop them

Callahan-que 04-29-2013 06:40 PM

I'll be on the look out here as well. It' appalling what some people will do, disgusting.

Meat & Heat 04-29-2013 06:51 PM

What the FARK is wrong with people, if it aint yours don't FARK with it. You don't mess with a mans tools or his toys.
Will be on the lookout.
Hopefully the persons responsible will be caught and punished severly.

strmrdr 04-29-2013 06:54 PM

I will keep an eye out here in west mass cl I am on it often. Some people just got no heart!

papadew 04-29-2013 06:55 PM

Durham has a history of crooked scrap yards.7 scrap yards had Durham city sewer grates and manhole covers.A friend repo's and has found at least 5 cars sold for scrap with no title against NC law.
Thief's are looking to BBQ in Durham, just make a quick buck.I would hate to see to these great cookers sold for scrap.

popeye 04-29-2013 07:06 PM

got my eyes open.

Bobby R 04-29-2013 07:10 PM

I live in Durham and I will keep a eye out and let you know if I see them!

tyotrain 04-29-2013 07:25 PM

MikeMan 04-29-2013 07:40 PM

Unbelievable... Keeping eyes open around Atlanta. That is so wrong!

NorthwestBBQ 04-29-2013 08:20 PM

Meth heads, they'll sell it for scrap metal.

My friend had every inch of copper wire ripped out of his empty house by them.

charrederhead 04-29-2013 08:29 PM

Lame punks.

tasterner 04-29-2013 08:32 PM

Very disheartening. Will keep my eyes peeled on CL and will share on FB too.

Best of luck on a successful recovery.

bo_gator 04-29-2013 08:37 PM

I'll keep my eyes and ears open on this end of I-40 :mod:

My apologies, I forgot to add the "Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord" line

Pole D 04-29-2013 09:21 PM

Eyes have been open here in Cary. Unbelievable that they could get away with two of them.

lastmajordude 04-29-2013 09:38 PM

I'm from the Deep South .....excuse me.....If caught redhanded.......well I better not say on here......just totally disgusting....

smokeinthenoke 04-29-2013 09:45 PM

Not too far from the Roanoke area. I'll keep my eyes open. I assume the NC and VA state police have been given the plate and VIN numbers?
