Ok I posted in road trips but didn't get any response so I'm posting here.

We're plotting our course for the road trip to pick up the new smoker. We're going up by way of Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri. We're coming back by way of Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and home.

Our route going: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...,43.286133&z=5

Our route coming back: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&sour...,43.286133&z=5

Anybody know any places to eat or stay along the way? And where are the brethren along this route?

Mrs. Mista wants to get back in time for Easter Sunday for Morgan so don't be mad if she gives me the "look" and I say see you later.

Neil, I really wish we were on the way - or at least close enough to make it to Columbia to meet ya. Your trailer is awesome...I'm happy for you. You will turn a lot of heads and draw a lot of customers with the look of it combined with the smell of your Q. May God continue to bless you and yours - and God bless your travels.

Thank you for that blessing!

I wish NJ was on your way as I would love to meet you and Mrs Mista.

Have a safe trip and good luck with your new Spicewine.

I don't know HOW you can have a thread title like that and it NOT be in Woodpile! Sounds like an audition for My Big Fat Redneck Wedding.

I tried opening the link, but saw no route. I also got a message about a plug-in not working, so the problem is on my end I'm sure. If you come through KC area to eat, we should make a bash out of it! There's just one thing, BigDog won't let me start the planning of any more bashes. That way I can make it (and you too for that matter). It's a long story...

Due to impending weather (and mountains) we might go this way instead.

Coming through Vegas stop on by. Your welcome to park out front. Also the Silverton has an RV park if you prefer. There's a Bass Pro Shop attached if you need to fill up on Yardbird. You will have to go to Pahrump for the hook up though. That's not allowed in Clark County.

If it was a week later I might be in Kansas. A nephew is getting married in Lawrence the first week of May. I may help cater it.

Not trying to be a jerk, do you really want to post your address in that link and when you'll be getting home on a public forum?

Not a home address. That's a business address. And the crew will still be working there.

LMAO

Hey Neil, I likes the new route, it takes your right through Wichita. I'm about 5 hours from Jays place.

Aim to stay at casino hotels. They are hurting like everybody. Mid week rooms are cheap and food also.

Just a word of caution. They break into trailers and campers even in the "secured" casino lots.

If you go this route, as you are going through Emporia, KS on I-35 you'll be about a quarter of a mile from my house....honk as you go by and I'll be sure to wave. If you are passing through around lunch or dinner and want to try out some of our local Q...Bobby D's is the best in town...right on Merchant St... Heck...shoot me a PM if you're interested... and I'd be honored to take you and the Mrs. out to lunch :thumb:

When and where are you going to be in Colorado?

I live a few miles south of Denver and have a guest room if needed.

PM me.

Bigmista wannts to hook up both ways?

be sure to check the weather in the Flagstaff area. I went through there about 10 days ago and it was 34 degrees. Not sure if they have snow right now but it is very possible.
