Side dishes

Alright, my wife has been bugging me since I signed up to ask you guys for some ideas for side dishes on the grill. Any ideas?

Sledneck 06-10-2008 02:12 PM

One of my favorites

I love grilled asparagus with EVOO and Mrs. Dash. So does the wife.
You can always indirect cook some acorn squash. Roast COTC still in the husk, sweet potatoes.
One of my families faves is sliced potatoes, onions, garlic, butter, S&P wrapped in foil and cooked on the grill.
Lots of sides.

When I cook a fatty, I like to eat it with a side of fatty.

Beans, any grilled veggie, sweet taters...Anything you can basically think of will work on the grill.

You put several of them on at a time.

As for sides, check the roadmap in the qtalk forum. Lots of good stuff there.

I cook one for the main dish, one for the side dish and one for dessert.

Okay, how do you keep people from eating it all?

I very rarely have leftovers when I grill or smoke.

Easy, my wife and daughter don't eat sausage. My 18 yr. old son is never home. I get to keep them all to myself...MWAHAHAHAHA

You have to cook more then you think you will ever need.... and that will be just the right amount.
