Smoked wings, grillgrates and lots of Austin Tx bbq competition pron

It was a great smoke filled weekend. First time running my new to me Weber OTG today as well as grillgrates.

Went to a local competition to learn some stuff yesterday and got to hang out with a fellow bbq brethren member Austinknight who was very courteous and let me watch his team in action.
As a bonus, I got to judge in the chicken category:)

The comp pushed me to take drastic measured. .. I gave away the offset smoker I just got to my dad... now saving my pennies for a backwoods party extended:)

A lot of neat lookin hardware. East Texas smoker company is the manufacturer of that axe-handled RF smoker.

Ahh, at first I thought it was a custom thing, but then I saw a second one just like it there. This one was nice. He was running 2 gurus and had a nice trailer with a slide out cutting board as you can great barely see on the left.
