Banana Puddding

Just wondering if anyone had an idea of what the average take per person would be if banana pudding were on a buffet and guests filled their own bowl with the amount they want to eat? I don't serve much desserts and I am catering a company party for a great friend of mine. This event is not about making money as much as making them happy.

We are serving 3 meats and 3 sides and near the end of people eating I plan to put out banana pudding with 6" plates and spoons for those who want it to come and get it. We are serving 100 people of which 15 are kids under age 10. I was thinking they would maybe take 4-5 oz per person average. What say you?

My guess would be they take as much as your serving spoon will put on the plate. Your estimate is about right. You may have some leftover if your meat and sides are gone.

Are they keeping the leftovers?

Yes Pyle, they'll get the left overs and I am sure there will be some. Again this is for a great friend who has done more for me than most could imagine so I want them to have as much as they want and even left overs for Monday's lunch.

Well based on my results for this event I am going to (preliminary) say that a Sam's Club full foil pan of Banana Pudding will feed 80-100 people. In my case it fed right at 100 people and this was with them serving themselves. So the average take was around 4oz per person on a 6" plate. I wonder if people would take more in a bowl, perhaps the bowl would appear like they had less than they had mounded on a plate?
