Qualifying for the Jack
 

What is the date range for qualifying for the Jack Daniel's Invitational.

September 1st 2011 to August 26th 2012.

Is that the normal date range for each year?

I think they changed it to these dates a few years ago, but this has been the range for a few years.

It varies from year to year. the draw is the last Friday in August so the cutoff is the Sunday prior.

I thought the Draw was the Friday of Labor Day Weekend, which just happens to be in August this year.

It was Friday of Labor day weekend last year, which was Sep 2nd I believe.

Thinking about it a little more, I would ask when was the draw in 2008, and when will it be in 2014? Labor day is always the first Monday in September, so that year, it was conceivable to have a competition on August 30-31. In that case, would they cut the year off the previous weekend, or push the draw out to the next Friday?

Looking at this thread the draw was on a Thursday in 2008. So maybe Labor Day weekend most years? If you really wanna blow your mind, try to figure out the rules for when Easter is every year.
