top round roast

I know it's not a rib roast or even a tri tip, but I love roast beef from this cut. It's cheap cooks fast and versatile. Samwiches, jerky, marinated round steak and mashed taters.

Anyone else have a special place in their heart for top round roast.

How do you make yours?

I give it a 2-3 hr smoke then toss in Crock Pot for 10 hrs with Taters, onions n carrots.

I liked to smoke it like a brisket. Of course, I like to smoke most cuts like a brisket.

I will have to try the cook it like a brisket and the pot roast method. I used the oven tonight. What a pain in the arse. The oven in my house is mainly for reheating leftovers and baking.
Sliced thin, med rare tonight with carrots and potatoes. I'll put the rest on the slicer tomorrow for sandwiches
