Question about RD

Is it possible to get some clarification about the relationship between KCBS and RD?

I do not compete. I do occasional fundraisers, so I joined KCBS primarily for the RD benefit, which is apparently no longer available. I recently renewed my KCBS card in hopes of getting a good price on food for a fundraiser I'm doing on Saturday. Had I known this benefit was no longer available, I wouldn't have had much of a reason to renew my membership. It is not practical for me to go to RD just to see if there's a chance I can get in. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only person who has paid $35 to join KCBS for the RD day pass benefit only to find that this has gone away.

There is a thread on this site discussing the there is no more relationship between KCBS and RD - this is the only reason I know about any of this. Some people are still getting in and others are getting turned away. I haven't seen any announcement from KCBS on this subject, but I have noticed that RD is no longer on the discount page.

So what's the story? It would be nice to hear something from KCBS on this subject.

This is the responce from KCBS on 10/18/12 from the other thread;
We have been informed that new negotiations for Restaurant Depot is being worked on. At this point we have not had any confirmation as to when and if it will be available for our members. The best I can offer is to check back from time to time on the website in the KCBS discount section once you have logged in and check for all current discounts. All sponsorships and discounts are not handled directly through the KCBS office here but by a advertising company whom KCBS has worked with over the last several years.
