Horizon Smoker Holding Even Temps...

Hi all !!

Been meaning to post a pic of this for some time. Fired up my Horizon 24" X 48" Marshall RD for some steaks actually, no smoking tonight. Running some Oak lump and 3 small splits of Hickory. With the convection plate all the way to the right (firebox side) this thing dials in perfectly.

Crappy, crappy picture but you'll see it's running right at 225. The angle is deceiving. It looks like the firebox side is running hotter but it's actually the opposite. The left side is actually running about 3 degress hotter. Love, just absolutely love this pit and Horizon's convection plate system. Next I'll need to post a pic of the pit running with the convection plate pulled all the way to the left hand side. Can get the pit running 50 - 75 degress hotter on the firebox side. So versitile. Thanks for looking !!

By the way, it's about 45 degrees F here in the great Desert Southwest. Not cold by most standards but cold enough for our tastes....Bob Brisket will attest to that !
