Finally went to Restaurant Depot!
Restaurant Depot is my new favorite place. Their meat selection is off the charts! I got chicken breast for 1.29 a pound(50 pound case), choice brisket for 2.75, choice tri-tip for for 4.25(22 pound package), and lots of other stuff. I got a picture of the tri-tip after they were vacuum sealed. The tri-tip were the biggest I've seen around here too. The one that's not wrapped is dinner tonight. By the way, I have no clue who the lunatic in the picture is ;-)

Man, you went all out! Those tri-tips are HUGE!:thumb:
If only RD had a location in Charleston... or even S.C., for that matter!! |

Now, those are what tri-tips are supposed to look like.

I went to our local one here in Fort Worth last week for the first time on my KCBS membership. Got the day pass with zero problem. Holy carp. RD is my new favorite place to buy meat. It's so worth the KCBS membership...

You're livin' the dream. RD rocks.
|
I live in Athens, GA.. I see there is a RD about 45-50 min from here in Norcross, GA.. Is it worth me driving that far? I have a SAMs, Kroger, Publix, and a few local small grocery stores here in Athens. I see there is 1 in Norcross, and 1 in Atlanta!

Other than not having a KCBS card to get in...which you'll say ..Whacha waitin for? and again Ill say :noidea: :-D |
RD is my new favorite "kid in a candy store" place to shop. Next time I will take a hat & gloves, not just a jacket for the cold side.

I've got one 5 minutes from my office. It's so much better than the BJ's I was shopping at for years (as far as meat goes). The seafood selection is not bad either. It's bad enough they have a decent price on Red Bull, but if they ever start selling beer . . . . . .
|
I have wanted to check it out. Do not have a business licence to get in.

if you become a member of KCBS for $35 you can get unlimited day passes. That's exactly what i did. :thumb: |
Man..I have one 20min away in CT and they NEVER have Tri Tip!! I asked about it and 1 guy said that they get it once and a while...another guy said he's never seen it !! I'm 0 for 10 right now scoring tri tips there.

I just called the fort worth location and was told that a membership to kcbs would not get me a day pass?
|
Yes they will if that happens talk to a manager it was renewed.
|
Whoever you spoke to was wrong, call and speak to a manager. if it was a manager you spoke to i would suggest calling another store and speaking to another manager and explaining the situation.
|
So just go to the front counter and show them a membership card?
|
Ok well the day pass was put up in the section for kcbs and one of the reps were in here saying that it was renewed and if your have any trouble there talk to the manager.
Member ship card and maybe a print out the card from kcbs with the acount number. |
thanks for the help, going to give it a try tomorrow
|
I'm going to try the Chicago RD. I'll update the group in case anyone is curious.
