Hot water for competition cook sites

From time to time (or as required by organizers) we need to do the dishes. We are a small outfit with 2 drums and a Bandera knock off. Under normal cooking, none of our cookers really get hot enough to come close to either boiling or really hot water. We've been carrying around an old Coleman camp stove to get boiling water when the dirty dishes call. It works ok, but is really, really slow. Does anyone have any experience with the Coleman hot water heater that runs on the small 1 pound propane canisters? The reviews on line are mixed at best. Looks like Mr. Heater is coming out with one as well. Thanks!

We just bought one of these for competing:

It's a little finicky, but works well and makes very hot water.

We used a Coleman water heater for three years. It works great, and when I had a problem with the ignitor Coleman replaced it at no cost. I put the intake hose into a 7 gallon water container but there is also a hose attachment.

We've had our Coleman about 3 years now. I had a few issues with bad connections to the battery and it not charging, so last year I bought 2 or 3 spare batteries. I make sure they're all charged shortly befor we intend to use them. Whe the new camper we shouldn't have to worry about that, at least for a while

Read the directions though before using. One "feature" that seems really silly to me is the unit will not function when the charger is cord is connected

http://www.eccotemp.com/eccotemp-l5-...-water-heater/ Check this out, I just got one for $135 including shipping from Wayfair, or the cheapest route is you could boil water in giant stock pot and store it in one of those 5 Gal igloo drink coolers.

That unit is actually an outdoor camping shower and can be set hung anywhere and used to fill your tubs. There is a video where he hangs it to the back of a camper and one where he hangs it from a tree. The propane is the biggest component if you are not hooking it up to a portable sink.

The exhaust pipe looks like an add on.

The turkey fryer with a stock pot with a spigot is how my son's boy scout troop rolls.

We use the Ez Tankless one and have had no problems with it. If you do a search on Youtube you can find a video on how to mount the setup onto handtrucks for even easier portability.
