Super Saturday Smoke Out - Gilman, IL
 

We had nine teams at our first ever Super Saturday Smoke Out rib cook off, which was more than we expected. The rain scooted right around us, and downtown Gilman has never looked better! For five of the nine teams, this was their first competition... and all of the ribs looked excellent! Here are the results:

And... Best Ribs in Gilman goes to Coal Chute BBQ - Kaleb Kraft (fellow Brethren Tommyboy48) gets bragging rights for a year!!!

Thanks to everyone who came out to support the Gilman Volunteer Fire Department (who actually had a fire call during turn in) and take in the rest of the events around town. Thank you to BoneHead BBQ for the 9:11 toast - that was a great idea. We are looking forward to growing this contest, and hope to see everyone next year!
