2010 Rules are now posted

The 2010 Rules and Regulations are posted on the WWW.KCBS.US web site:

http://kcbs.us/pdf/KCBS-Rules-and-Regulations-2010.pdf

There are few changes, but the changes are in bold. Pork rule remains substantially intact. 6 identifiable pieces is now enough sampling for 6 judges. Reps have to follow the rules.

Good luck this season

Does #7 contain a typo - when the organizer provides the meat, the contestant is NOT required to enter only that meat? Seems that the "not" should be removed. Or am I misreading the intention?

At some contests an organizer will provide meat from a sponsor. More often than not it is for the team to cook for a people's choice event, raffle, etc... The wording is correct. A team has the right to select, and trim their own meat. That puts the burden on the team for selecting something they want to work with, rather than making it luck of the draw.
