This months 4 Ingredient Blogger's Challenge had the follow ingredients:

Ground Meat
Quinoa
Winter Squash
Pear

The idea is to come up with a meal that uses all four ingredients. This was my take:

Meatloaf with ground beef and turkey and quinoa as the binder. Worked great. Won't use turkey again, the color just ain't right.

The butternut squash and pear puree was very tasty...

I've come to the conclusion that ground turkey doesn't belong in a meatloaf. Not only do you get the strange color, but the greasy stuff that always seems to leak out the top is downright unappetizing.

Nice job on working all the ingredients in.

That sounds great. Had a pear @ lunch My M-I-L use to put pears in her apple pie- it was wonderful

bbq grail and zydecopaws. great job on your entries. Pear suace is awesome. I had a pear pie the other night that tasted exactly like apple pie. the lady who made it is allergic to apples.

how does one get involved with this 4 ingredient challange thing?

I agree with you on the turkey, Larry. I put it in our meatloaf sometime since it is lower fat that the ground beef or pork, but it just doesn't look right.

I would, however, hit that meat loaf! :-D
