I am now the proud owner of a Bandera and am looking forward to learning the art.

From what I have seen so far you guys have got some GREAT info and everyone seems pretty willing to help out. I like that. Congrats to you guys keeping this place up and runnin', nice work.

I am already working on a couple of mods, the baffle, and adding some heat shields to the fire box.

I recently harvested a large bull Elk and am looking forward to making some fantastic Elk Q. So far the meat has been outstanding and slow cooking is going to make it that much better!!!!

Welcome
Elk is leaner than most of what we cook so lower finish temps are the ticket, handle it like beef as far a seasonings go.

Add a signature line in your profile, unless your name is 417.

And throw a location on there too, if you like

You'll fit in just fine here.

Welcome to the group Bull!

That sure is one helluva Elk you bagged there. I am still having trouble visualizing that big arse Elk going down from an arrow. Your aim must be dead on--no pun intended.
