The California BBQ Association raises money throughout the year by conducting various BBQ events and classes. 100%of the proceeds the CBBQA realizes go to California Children's Charities.

Two new BBQ classes to be conducted March 5 & 6, 2011 in Hollister, CA. Saturday will lead off with the California BBQ Association’s annual “Introduction to Authentic BBQ Class” with the backyard pitmaster in mind. $149 for CBBQA members. This class will be instructed by some of the top Pitmasters of the CBBQA. Sunday the CBBQA will offer an advanced pitmaster class with its “Competition BBQ Class” instructed by David Bouska of Butcher BBQ. This class will be $345 for CBBQA members. Non members wanting to attend can purchase a 1 year membership for $36 at CBBQA.org. Membership is an insurance requirement for each class.
