View Full Version : A good day to BBQ in Florida!
12-15-2010, 04:16 PM
Hello everyone! I am a sort of newbie when it comes to BBQ. I mean, I've been BBQing for a good span of life, but nothing big. Ribs and chicken here and there but nothing as awesome and time consuming as Pulled Pork or anything. Just the other day I thought it was about time to do it and do it right. I searched all over the internet to find some good ideas for smoking a Boston Butt and low and behold, I come to this lovely forum. I cant wait to use some techniques read from here and to also post my own techniques!
Thanks for having me!

Welcome to the addiction... Remember, there is no 12 step program for us!!!
This is one of the threads that was posted to our 'ROADMAP' in QTalk on cooking Pork Butts for the first time.
FYI, you'll find 'Roadmaps' all over. They are a collection of some of the best threads over the years.

Welcome to the Brethren !!! You came to the right place, to learn and share your info. Butts are pretty simple, they just take a while to smoke them low and slow.
