Hi, my name is johno and im 30yrs old and live in Australia.

i currently own a webber OTG which ive had many great yrs of cooking on it, my dad and both my brothers both own webers aswell.

Recently ive been looking into the BBQ GURU for the weber for a bit more ease on the slow cooks but not sure if i would just be better upgrading to a WSM, has anyone tried a GURU on a OTG? ive searched around abit but cant find much info of one being installed on a one touch gold.

i look forward to meeting you all and picking your brains for advice

BTW what a great site you guys have here, love it.:-D

lol, I think what Landarc was tring to say is that we ABUSE our Aussie brothers... in a nice way though... Look what Bill has to tolerate - http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=91829

Welcome aboard John! You'll find pleanty of folks around here that have guru's... btcg has one on his kettle I think... did a post not too long ago...
And talk to swamprb about his Cajun bandit (http://www.shop.cajunbandit.com/product.sc?productId=1&categoryId=4), a guru & CB is dang near a WSM... better in some regards!

If you're a paying subscriber ($25/year) you have the ability to use the google search on the forum - Here are a few searches that turned up for me:

Damn I'm good - Here's btcg's post right here! -
Some trouble shooting ideas -

Ah Fark! Another one!

I do hereby promise to not mention Crocodile Dundee in any of your threads.

Welcome to the Forum. Do you actually cook your own food or do you get your kids and friends to be slave labor?

11-23-2010, 12:40 AM
Thanks for the welcome, of course i cook my own food if you tasted my wifes cooking you would to(i hope she dosen't see this:pray:)

Not crocodile Dundee, the phrase is 'Foster's, it 'stralian for beer mate'

11-24-2010, 06:09 AM
Actually.. it's Oztrailian for "swill" I think I'm gonna have to take a photo of my local booze market to show there is no Fosters in stock!

11-24-2010, 10:43 PM
haha i was thinking the same thing ive never seen a fosters on tap or at the bottle shop for sale in aus but for some reason everyone thinks thats what we drink, just like kangaroos walk down our main streets:crazy:
