I've got a small (almost 4 lb. butt ) I'm doing in the morning before the Bama-Arkansas game and need some new ideas.

Also, what is this cooler method I keep hearing about?

My first question is have you already tried the information on this site? There must be dozens of threads on pork butt plus what's in the recipe section. JUst not sure what you're looking to achieve. The cooler method is simple - bring your butt to 190-195+ internal temperature, wrap it good in heavy duty foil and let it rest in an insulated cooler for at least an hour (basing on your 4#'r). It does a little more cooking and moistening magic.
