Morning all!

My name is Bill and I live in WNY. I am a member on a cigar message board that has ZILLA (Darwin) as a member as well which is what brought me here.

Currently running a Weber Genesis B for lazy grilling/winter/rotisserrie. A 22.5" Gold charcoal for most grilling. And a Weber Bullet for my smoking.

I had used the smoker for turkeys and ribs on and off for a few years, then, after having some, I tried a brisket. The results made me banish the bullet to the shed until this spring.

We had gone to a local Q joint and I wanted to give brisket another try. To help achieve success, I went back and forth quite afew times with ZILLA. The results were fantastic (and once he told me to make a guide cut before smoking to ensure I slice it properly) and this summer has had roughly monthly brisket and pulled pork with days of leftovers.

Looking forward to trying new recipes and expanding my knowledge.

(Oh ABT's ROCK!)

Bill

I'm glad that you found that amusing . . . while at the same time dating yourself.

Hello fellow bbq brethren. My name is Keith and I have been interested in perfecting the art of great bbq for over 10 years in my backyard. We started a team called Swing Dings and entered or 1st KCBS comp in May at the Chesapeake Jubilee. We've done 3 now and I've learned that my bbq was not near as good as I thought and that there are some extremely talented pitmasters on the comp circuit. I'm hooked now and look forward to improving my bbq, competing and sharing what I know (and don't) with others. My team is based in Newport News, Va. Looking forward to 2011 and getting back out and have some more fun. Until then, I'll practice, practice, practice.
