Good Afternoon,

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Bob Gendron and I am a superintendent of schools that is hooked on authentic smoking. We recently competed at a KCBS tournament in the backyard division and were 1.2 points off reserve grand champion. We were ecstatic because we had never been to a competition before and did not know what to expect. Can I tell you that we are hooked already? My students at school call me Super G so the name of our BBQ team is Super G's BBQ. We thought it was a no brainer. I do have two specific questions:

I am going to upgrade equipment and really want a rotisserie. I think the quality of the American BBQ System looks great. Does anyone have any experience with these units?

I would also like to take a KCBS judging class this winter so I fully understand the expectations. Can someone point me in the right direction? I am in Michigan but willing to drive to make this happen.

Any information or helpful hints that you would be will to share would greatly be appreciated.

Welcome
Ditto on then KCBS. You can find judging classes there. Swampro uses a rotissere for ribs that I believe can be attached to a grill. I think it is called a ribolator. Check him out in the community section

Welcome aboard Bob, enjoy what you learn and share what you know, it's what we do here. Great little town you in. I'm just a couple hours down the lake from you and love going camping at the state park up in Pentwater.
