Aluminum foil is your friend... Plugged up the damn at the door seems to help

Where's it leaking at? My 22" is leaking around the door as I type. The handle broke off. Called Weber. Very nice people. They are sending me a new door. You may also want to check with the WSM forum - http://www.virtualweberbullet.com/index.html. Lots of ideas there for WSMs.

Thanks Tom. Its leaking around the door and the lid. It's a 6-8 year old new to me cooker and I wanted to run it without any mods. I have everything plugged up with foil now and all the vents just about closed and I am sitting at 250. I may have started with too many lit coals... Learning curve going on here. Any excuse to sit on the deck reading a book and drinking coffee on a beautiful Saturday morning. Oh the sacrifices we make.

I did the same thing last cook. Put the coals in too hot. Just put some aluminum foil around the door. Thanks for the tip!
