I have been a member for about a month and I haven't properly introduced myself.

I live North of Columbia, Mo and am friends with Solidkick, He has got me hooked on this site. I have not posted but have lurked many days reading and enjoying everyone else's posts.

I have been cooking since I was a kid, and like Kick, and my brother-in-law, I love to cook, smoke, and Q.

Have cooked competitively in a small local festival contest for about 3 years, nothing sanctioned until this year at the Boone County Fair. My brother-in-law and I are really into this and asked Solidkick to join us for the fair cook. Also KC joined us in our adventure which turned out great. We have just ordered a custom smoker to be built by a local welding shop here and anxiously await it's arrival. 2 weeks they say.

I am married with 2 kids one of each. My son and his wife are expecting a little one next March, that makes me a soon to be Grandpa. My Daughter is starting to drive, and that drives me crazy. My son comes over early on the 4th and helps prep the Hog for cooking and then soon as the Grill starts to smoke, well you just have to open a beer.

This will be a home spot for use, to get tips, ask questions and just sit around and enjoy the Great company of this board. Thanks for allowing us in.

Darrel,

I split your post away from BellyBro's so that you get the proper "Welcome" that you deserve.

It gives me great pride to say "Welcome My New Brother" to Belly BrotherII. I've got my best friends in the whole world sharing with me on the site. All my Brethren in one place, could a person ask for more than that? I don't think so.......

Welcome Darrel........let the posting begin!

Welcome to the new brother, and soon to be new member of the Grandpa club. Make sure you get YOUR time with the little one when he/she gets here. I know I fight for my time. 1 month 7 days and still have not changed a diaper. You will love both the fellas here and the new person soon to take over your life.

Isn't a big belly a pre-requisite for joining this group?

Pull up a seat and cop a squat.

Welcome to the backyard!

I just wanted to barrow $50. from Kick, he only had $30, so I took it. Now does that mean he still owes me $20. If so, then I got $30 from him I should only pay him back $10

LMAO - sounds right to me. Gotta watch Mr. Slick Kick. Welcome aboard Darrel.

Actually the duck is a pet.

Well, there goes the chance of having some locally raised smoked duck!
