That certainly is pretty! How much workspace is opposite the sink?

Capn Kev
08-15-2010, 07:37 PM
Neil - The side opposite the sink is wide open right now, other than the vending window shelf. I'm buying stainless work benches from Rest. Depot or another outlet to utilize as a work surface in that area.

Michael - after pulling that thing 1200 miles back from IN, a diesel is definitely something in my future...just not within the current fiscal year. The "parsley" girl can only handle so much financial shock within a given time frame! :-D

They didn't say who it was they were building it for, just that it was the next Extreme Trailer to be delivered. So I'm guessing it had to be yours

James sent me some photos today of my trailer that I will be picking up at the end of next week. All that's needed is the serving window and it'll be ready to go. To say I'm exicted would be an understatement! It's been great working with James on this build.

We have two customers that are going to be at the Royal and Jack this year. The yellow trailer in this thread that belongs to Worthsmokin' BBQ will be at the Royal in space 456, the black trailer belonging to Swinestone Cowboys will be at the Jack. Let's wish them both the best of luck. If you can make one of these events stop by and check out their trailer.

6' we can build them to any size you need. The most requested sizes are 6 & 8' and we also discount the price of the trailer by $1,000 when we build an open porch.

James,

8.5X26' this trailer has full perimeter aluminum frame. Adds a little more to overall price, but knocks about 900-1000 lbs off total weight before options are included.

8' porch and I believe 7' interior height, that's pretty much the norm with the lights and AC installed.

Give me a shout at 901-268-5529 if you have any questions about specs etc. .

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on our scheduling. We are fortunate to get pretty busy this time of year. Folks are getting geared up for next season and are purchasing or planning on purchasing new products. At this time we are currently booked out 8 weeks on our trailer builds.

If you have been anticipating pulling the trigger on a new comp trailer I would recommend that is if you decide to choose Extreme BBQ Trailers as your manufacturer and get with me so we can finalize your design/specs and get everything inline to secure you a spot in production.

Please give me a shout if you have any questions.

This one isn't one of the standard packages, I needed something somewhat smaller and lighter (maily due to towing vehicle limits, we're going to pull this with a Class C RV) and James worked with me to put together exactly what we needed. Thats the beauty of working with these folks, they can almost literally do anything you need. It's been a great experience so far!

How much for that big yellow one? I am Looking for a set up that I can put my 2 fec 100s on but maybe have space for an upgrade to a fec500 later. Also, a full kitchen, bathroom and a bed. I would like to use the trailer for Comps, Catering and/or vending.

Joe,

How much of your prep work are you planning onm doing in the trailer? I notice you don't have water and sinks. Do you plan on doing that stuff in your RV? This looks like the perfect size for the Monty's Little Mosters rig - but I won't have an RV and will need my trailer to be my kitchen and sleeping area. Do you think that's possible with this trailer?

I plan to finish the inside this spring with cabinets and plumbing. My toyhauler kitchen that I created was exactly the same size as the enclosed space in this one...and I lose less space for door on this one, so actually hoping to have more room. I'm planning a 6' base cabinet that will house the water tank and water heater below and will have a 3 bay drop in sink and hand wask sink in the counter. Then a 6' overhead above that. An additional 4' overhead and a 4' stainless prep table. Fridge, garbage, etc...Then we will see how it looks and add as needed. When I get it all done, I'll post pics and details of where/how/etc

Jesse, I'd get with my HD first. You're fine with a set up like this as long as you're not serving the public. Most HD's want the bath/living quarters to be a separate space meaning that they may require you (and most do) to have a partition wall installed and possibly the door entering the bathroom may have to be an exterior door.

If you have a layout/sketch you could put together email it to me at sales@extremebbqtrailers.com and I'll take a look at it and give you a shout.

Specs are now on the website for our Extreme Competitor trailer. As you know we do not pre-build any trailer. They are all done per order, this allows us to be flexible with the specs the customer may request/require. Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions.

Wow, this one’s really nice. How much did this things cost you? It looks really neat inside. Just what i want when i want to go RV. Does it hurt and slow you down when driving down especially when there are a lot of supply at the back? I love the color of it this pull away truck. Looks really bbq!

Just got back last night, from bringing the new baby home. We were at the factory when they opened, got a tour of the operation, then went out to our unit, hooked up and headed back east.

James, thanks sooo much!!!! It pulled like I expected, was able to cruise at 65-70 with no real stress on the truck, wish I could say that for me. Now I understand why truckers have lounge chairs in the cab! Would have made better time back, if not for the rain in Indiana, Ohio, PA. Was lookin for that helo, must have been hiding in the clouds.

But she's here now, and I am stoked (as well as Teri, the garage will finally be empty enough to walk around in)!

Mike Fay is going to do some graphics for it. I ran E-Track in it over the weekend. All of the stuff that was wedged in the old trailer, fits quite nicely in this one, with some room to spare.

Also ran the AC for the first time, three words, FARK IT'S COLD!!!!!!!!

Ready - HECK YES. Able to - well, that's a different story :becky: I keep playing with the layout and want to add in the shower / bathroom in the v-nose, just have to figure out how much space it adds / moves around to figure out the rest of the inside.

We can do the porch any size that fits your needs. This particular porch is 10'. Just make sure you've allowed yourself enough room for doors to open etc.

Was your trailer insulated? Granted the walls on a trailer are thin, but the insulation does help. We do all walls and ceiling.

My Extreme is black, never had any issues with it. This past summer we cooked a gig that was 105 in the shade and with the AC on it was an icebox inside.
