New user here - My Buddy and I entererd the competition on a whim on Long Island last weekend and had a blast. We did pretty good too, finishing 2nd in Sauce, 9th in Pork, 10th in Wings and a very dissapointing 28th in Ribs. We are now totally into this thing. And are racking our brains to come up with a respectable team name.
Can anyone recommend any competitions coming up in the north east?
Any we should avoid?

Welcome, Welcome, Welcome.
Congrats on your first cookoff success!
A second in sauce is to be proud of, as are the rest of the numbers!
Everyone says- "Jump into Cattle Call and say hi."
I'll say "DITTO"!
What kind of cooker(s)?
Most every type of cooker represented here!
And we love to "MOD-EM"
Just a bunch of frustrated "smoker engineers" here who love Q, libations, friends, and a good time!
You pick the order.
