That is a thumbnail page of some of my Peppers.
Here are some I picked the other day.

I found a great Jalepeno "Poppers" recipe for tossing on the smoker but what can I do with the rest? I use them in my cooking as I do 95% of the cooking around here so I know they are tasty.
Got any good "Smoked Pepper" tricks?
Thanks
Oh yeak, say that subject 5 times fast.
hahaha

Looks great Mike
St.Peters Mark will chime in here eventually.
David L too.
They are a couple of our pepperheads.
Here are a few links, that also contain recipes and links to recipes of stuff these guys have tried. I'm still gearing up to try growing my own at some point.

Those posts pretty much cover it Mike (thanks Bill) so I've got nothing more to add except an update on this year's crop. I've got something close to about 100 pepper plants growing and producing peppers ready to be picked. The overwintered habs are beginning to produce ripe fruit too. I also got some Bradford pear wood too if anyone's interested. ****loads of tomatoes too, and the same for summer squash.
If any you bros want some, come on by and I'll be happy to share.
PS: I'm not doing the LOF thing this year.

That sounds painful. You probably can't wait to dump that load...

Poohbah hijack Mod?
Hey PitPirate:
I'm the guilty one. Sorry bout the hijakin bro. Is there anything unanswered about peppers we should get back to?
PS: If you followed the links Bill provided, try the method for skinless poblano fillets on your largest peppers and use on burgers. You will not be disappointed.

I think a great pepper would be a hybrid sweet cherry and a jap or hab... Anybody tried that yet?? Fark that's making my mouth water!!!!!!!!
I got something called "hot cherry" growing well from last year's overwintered plants. When allowed to ripen untill red, they are sweet and about jap hot. Really good stuffed with shredded cheese & sausage.

Once you've gone orange . . .
Considering that peter peppers are quite hot, it would probaby be about as enjoyable as shaking hands with Mr. Winkie after you've been cutting up habanero's without gloves. Been there , done that.

Or shaking hands with Mr. Winkie with a fist full of Bumble Bees.

Picked a few peppers myself today. Only picked a few japs, trusting Mark that they will eventually ripen. Cayennes are going farking crazy. The others I think are Hungarian Wax, they grew from a plant that was supposed to be a bell pepper.
Scott:
that's assuming the weather gets warmer. It's been 20 deg. below normal here in St. Peters.

Same here, I suspect it won't last very long though. I don't remember being cold here in August very often!
