View Full Version : Check out this Charbroil/NB model
I ran across this pic while researching another cooker.
Looks like the NB tradition will continue even though Charbroil is at the helm.
Sorry, I don't have any details! Anyone else seen this thing yet??
I just saw a news release at the Charbroil website (no pix of this model yet) that says it is available at Academy!! One of you TX bros. need to check this out just to see if it's any good!

Hard to tell from the pic, but it looks to be at least 20" dia. With dual lids I'd guess it to be 40" long. Giving me a serious case of smoker envy!
Nice find Dave.

I have actually seen a mini-smoker sold as a condiment and napkin holder. I'm sure that outfit is a smoke ring site.
Here's a review/article about this new smoker -- they quote $600 in the article.

Click on the mjournal1a.jpg to see the graphic -- yeah it's got some other stuff but at least it gives description of the smoker -- I'm gonna have to go see one when it finally makes it to my area.

Saw one in DFW. It's the heavy stuff, and the one I looked at was very nice. Clean even welds, doors opened and closed smoothly. Didn't have room to roll it around at all. I was tempted for a moment, but decided that if I was going to drop $650 after tax that I'd rather keep saving the pennies and get something a little larger and made to my specs. I wouldn't mind a neighbor getting it and parking it in my yard for lessons though.

I'd like to see one this without all the fancy stainless cabinetry underneath for $100 less....
I'm envious for the wheels though.

Out of my range. I'll be glad when I have money and space for something like that.

All I know is that I was saving my pennies for a Bandera but now......
I guess I should still wait and see.

You can buy three Banders for that price. I think it looks good, but having used a OKJoes and a WSW i wouldn't trade my Bandera for the Longhorn.
