The Troy Pigout is fast approaching once again. This event SOLD OUT last year and is 75% there as of today. So if you have been on the fence to sign up, please do so soon. I know that I have been shut out of two other contests this season because i just waited to long!

Once again this year the contest will feature a peoples choice style rib cook off on Saturday Afternoon, I am happy to announce that once again each team will receive their ribs at no charge, thanks to Dinosaur BBQ!.

This years contest will be called the Dinosaur BBQ "Best Bone" contest and will feature a very interesting trophy and prize package.

I will post more information in the upcoming days so check back to whats new and exciting.

Not competing in this one, but I am judging in it. Can't wait. If you put six pieces of meat in your box I will take it as a sign that you're part of the Brethren and I'll make sure I give you a high score. Also, just to make sure it's really one of you, use a white, Styrofoam box. This will be our little signal. :-P

There will be some great items in the goody bags for all the teams this year and remember , the prize pool is at least 5K. I will have an update on the details by Monday:-P

I encourage all of you to cook as much as you feel comfortable with as we have in the past sold out in less than two hours.

All Teams will receive 2 bags of Ice each day of the contest and one case of Brew ! There will also be goody bags .Fireworks are Saturday Night.

I am helping/cooking with Brian of Ma's Q Crew and he shared the following info this morning per an email he received,

Important new information about the People's Choice Competition!

Each participating
team will receive
1 case (24 racks)
of St. Louis style ribs.

Please let us know if this changes your plans to participate. Note that you will receive your ribs at check-in and are welcome to begin cooking them then. Also, we can split cases if absolutely necessary.
And remember, all proceeds benefit the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure!
We look forward to hearing from you, and to seeing you on Friday!

Thanks,

Elizabeth Young

Eric,
sorry man I don't get it, how's this Peoples Choice work? I don't understand what you mean by cook as much as possible. I thought that we all were getting a case to cook and votes were based on that amount. If we cook more than case so we have to pay for them? We aren't selling them like we did at Lake Placid are we?
