I had to go with myself this week. The competition is too tough this week for me. My ribs need all the help they can get against these titans of delectability!

Actually, in truth, I just didn't want anyone thinking I was trying to get a zero on purpose by posting those ribs. Oddly enough, I got another vote, so I guess I didn't have to vote for myself after all!:becky:

You boys really are bbq chefs. Great looking entries one and all. Smokey AL, you had me rolling with that one...Kudos for creativity and humor. But I had to go with Ecode. That pocket of hand-held goodness looks truly delectable. Cheers to all entrants and good luck to all.

Well the drink will not be cabernet sauvignon but I will throw in Riunite Lambrusco. It's cheap but good and gets the job done. :-D

They just get tougher and tougher, I ended up voting for NUTZ, but, Shiz-nit's cheesecake really really really looked good. If I had not been caked out, he woulda got my vote.

Wow, is it that time of the week already? Well, I might as well get it started then.

My girls just got back from a Round-The-World Tour with "Uncle Grillman." They liked my Spanish food so much that they took him to get chocolate con churros everywhere they went. Apparently, they started at El Oso, but ate outside on the terrace with a friend.

http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt211/gvideen/Spain/animation2sb.gif

Then they visited the White House ...

http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt211/gvideen/Spain/animation4s.gif

went all the way to India,

http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt211/gvideen/Spain/animation3x.gif

and finally, they went on a little ride in outer space

http://i613.photobucket.com/albums/tt211/gvideen/Spain/animation5cu.gif

I was shocked they found churros there, but maybe it was included in the tour. I think their Mom might have been a bit concerned they didn't have warm enough clothes, but they're back in school this week, none the worse for wear. Thanks Uncle Grillman for all the great memories.

Wow what an amazing trip! I'm amazed at how many places they ate churros at! I'm also amazed that your daughters can survive in a zero oxygen environment while eating churros and with a table cover matching the earths oceans!!! Churros look delicious and looks like your girls had a great adventure.

I almost had to toss a coin to decide between ecode and Southern Smoker! The bacon wrapped scallops almost had me but in the end I had to go with ecode's wonderful looking dish. Thanks for sharing your trip with everyone and the great food there! :thumb:

The irony is that everyone else is posting that they want to go somewhere exotic and you want to come HERE !

Pork and beans can be such an easy dish, yet there are P&B cooks out there that swear by their "secret" recipes...it's a definite subculture, not your downunder Baked beans thats for sure. But I must say I've never seen anyone go to the lengths you did, nor have hunble P&B looked any better. Nice job.

It's a well known fact that a well made churro is 75% air....

WOW.

I'm not sure if I can narrow this one down! Aussie, southern smoker, ecode (are you kidding me??), yellownutz, Gore, shiz-nit & Johnny... daaaaamn.

The story on all of them was gold! We need a "place I'd like to visit" TD every week!

I'm gonna have to think about this one... just too many amazing ones!

BTW - Bigabyte, if those were Nathan's hot dogs, you might be a contender.

BTW - Bigabyte, if those were Nathan's hot dogs, you might be a contender.
They were Bobak's Veal Frankfurters. I probably won't buy them again, they aren't the cheapest and I didn't think they tasted much different than Oscar Meyer weiners.

At least my vote for NUTZ didn't doom him to the basement, so often I vote for the food that finishes dead last.

And I am pretty sure Bobak does no make their wieners to be wrapped in sausage, this seems like a pretty big oversight, of course.

I may have cast my vote to late to make the actual count, but I wanted to say that I just about licked my screen looking at ecode's post. She an Gore are operating on another level. Can we have Pro and Amateur brackets broken out?

Thanks Jonny, but I think that's pretty funny coming from you!

Chris, these second-place finishes are adding up. I must have the record by now. Is there a bridesmaid's award I can go for?
