Jacks, hog heaven, and martins all have good reviews online. Any personal preferences?

Martin's, Jack's downtown (stay away from Jack's on Trinity lane after dark, it's not somewhere most people want to be) if you are looking for a Texas style BBQ joint then look for Judge Bean's in Brentwood.

My Uncle talks about Jacks like it's his first love. I've never been there but I'd be sure to try the place.

While I like BBQ, I generally prefer my own, unless I want to explore different styles.
Whenever I'm in Nashville, I stop into this steak and spaghetti joint I love. For around $20 you can get pasta with your choice of about 12 sauces and a decent steak, with a premium beer or 2.

I will second Demos' (Pronounced DEEmussez).

Martin's BBQ Joint in Nolensville is the best BBQ place in the Nashville area, by far. Sorry this is so late, and they aren't open on Sundays. But if you're ever back in the area, it is definitely worth going - especially on whole hog nights. :thumb:

I was vetoed on BBQ joint. We ended up going to Raz'z. Their jambalaya pasta was featured on the food networks "best thing I ever ate" series for spicy food. It was good but not as spicy as I thought it was going to be.

Thanks for the ideas. Next time we r in Nashville we are hitting up the BBQ joints!!! Breakfast lunch and dinner ;)

Jacks is still good. Martin's is the best around here. He just put up a new building. You can look him up on Facebook. He was also just featured on drive in, diners, and dives last month.

Lil' Paul's Smokehouse in Lebanon, TN is also really good. He's the one that got me started smoking.
