After recovering from installing the lake drain MOD  , I found whole cut yard birds for $1.00/lb. Came home and fired up the Baby, used one the spinners that I got off ebay (think kc reported them on ebay) and the basket that Chi Bill sent me. A one brother Bash in the fab room (garage) yesterday. Thought I'd post some pics of my one man bash. Set up is on the welding bench.

Yep, the results were good, not like the NY bash but OK! :D

Pics outa sequence, PWAI.

Al, what a cool setup. I do spin my birds but on the gas grill (IR burner mod). It was probably Mark in St. Louis that posted about the roto rig. The self basting nature of rotisserie cooking is awesome on birds. I like mine with lemon and garlic. Like the same lemon garlic tandem with pineapple juice for beer butt chickens.

I love birds over rotisserie. Several years ago I was up too late one night and bought the showtime Ron Popeil indoor model, not quite as good as an open flame bird but pretty good. Key ingredient when I do rotisserie birds is injecting lots of lime juice and covering with rosemary.

I'm gonna get a gas grill w/ rotisserie when I upgrade from my old grill. Might have to check into the basket. Looks great Al.

Looks great Al..I like my rot bird with Tone's Lemon Pepper
and a sprinkle of garlic salt.
A thought: when you share a meal like this with family,
break the corn bread with you hands...it adds a touch.
Cutting corn bread is for when company comes.

Bryan,
Is there some sort of recipe that goes with the lime juice or are you just injecting a lot of lime juice?

Nope. no recipe. Just grab a couple of limes and squeeze, then inject into the breast, wings, thighs, and sticks. Then usually rub down with a good olive oil then salt, pepper, and rosemary. The olive oil will give it great color and a nice crisp skin. IMO, it's hard to beat a bird cooked like that, especially when she dances above the fire.

Bryan, sounds good, I think I'll get an injector and give it a try.

I have found injecting applecider works great.
