Safeway has "Boneless Beef for BBQ" on sale for $1.99/lb out here. I was told they use the same cut they make Mock Tenders from. It's from the chuck, so lots of flavor but tough meat.

I got some the other day and rubbed it with SoFlavor. I cooked it indirect on my Hasty Bake about 235 and 3.5 hours. When it was done I put on some Sweet Baby Ray's.

They were so good and tender, we just stabbed our forks into them and ate 'em. Hence meat popsicles. I'm picking up a bunch and I'll marinate them for the Fourth. I'm going to get some wood skewers and cook them that way and serve them as an appetizer. "Meat Popsicles"

Sounds great Heath.

Glad you get SB Rays up there.

But excuse my naivity, can you tell me what a Mock Tender is?

Bill see this,

Mock Tender Steak, Beef
The mock tender is often sold as a roast and is a cone shaped cut next to the top blade in the chuck primal. It can also be cut into steaks. The name "mock tender" is misleading because the meat is rather tough so it is best when it is braised. The mock tender steak is also known as fish steak, chuck fillet steak, and chuck tender steak.
